A crew is removing the damaged section of the roof this weekend and removing any loose brickwork in order to reopen Franklin St. This is scheduled from completion by the end of day Monday.

Update on Tornado Damage

For those of you at the Main and Franklin building who have been impacted by the tornado...

The structural engineer and the Greensburg Fire Department have concluded previous residents may enter the building for the purpose of accessing their apartments and retrieving personal items. The building will be open on Thursday June 2 from 1030am - noon. We will also have additional time available to access the building on Friday and again on Tuesday. Please check this site or send an email or text to: service@homes4indiana.com to confirm times.

Please meet in the FRONT of the building. The fire department has agreed that we can push back the cones blocking Franklin St a few feet so that cars may be parked there for loading purposes. We will have to enter the building through the commercial entrance on Main Street and take the back hallway to the apartment stairs.

Please be aware of the following conditions:

(1) NO CHILDREN may enter the building.

(2) You may only access your own unit -- absolutely NO wandering throughout the building 'site-seeing'.

(3) You MUST sign a release of liability and anyone helping you move items who will be entering the building must sign a release of liability. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Christmas Walk Downtown--next Friday

The Christmas Walk events will be on the Square Dec. 3rd, with the parade coming down Franklin St. and turning west on Washington St at 6pm. The Santa house will be open that night from 6:30pm-9pm, the following Saturday from 11am-2pm and the following two Fridays (10th and the 17th) from 4pm-8pm.
